Join us for an unforgettable session on Construction Cranes & Rigging with Guest Speaker Fernado Galicia, Sr. Regional Safety Manager at McCarthy Building Companies. Come experience Fernado’s passion for safety and developing others with this one-of-a-kind interactive session that prepare you to better understand crane set up & hazards and rigging fundamentals so that your next crane pick is a success.

Fernando Galicia has over 38 years experience in the construction industry. Fernando leveraged his 12 years of field experience as a Carpenter General Foreman to transition to a Safety Professional. He is an Outreach Instructor at California State University, Dominguez Hills and has lead OSHA 30 sessions at McCarthy for over 25 years.

Schedule:

• Star Time 10:00 a.m.
• Lunch 12:00 – 12:45
• Fabrication Shop Tour  12:45 – 1:30 pm
• Rigging fundamentals 1:30 to 3:30

Please bring your PPE (Safety Vest & Safety Glasses) for the Mechanical Fabrication Shop Tour

Parking is first come first serve in front of the main building; Street parking is also available.
