Topic National Safety Stand-Down to Prevent Falls in Construction – Leading Edge in Fall Protection

In support of National Safety Stand-Down Week to prevent falls in construction Tim Metzger, 3M Fall Protection Trainer, will discuss why leading-edge fall protection safety matters. Tim will address what is a leading edge and sharp edge. What are the unique risks of leading edge and sharp edge work at height? Tim will discuss ANSI standards, OSHA regulations, and specific fall protection equipment and proper use to protect the worker from LE injury and fatal falls.

Speaker Tim Metzger, Trainer for 3M Fall Protection

Tim has been a full-time instructor for 3M for nearly 7 years.  He teaches the entire line of Fall protection, Confined Space and Rescue classes offered by 3M.  Tim is a retired Fire Captain from California.  He is a Certified Fire Officer, Rescue Technician and Fire Instructor through the State of California Fire Training System.  Tim also is a certified Confined Space Instructor through the OSHA Training institute.
